We’re Barley’s Boys…

We met in October 2014 at a wedding. Well we didn’t actually meet at the wedding, but we saw each other and it sparked an interest that led to our first date of pizza and bowling. A few more dates, a trip around the world and a cross-country move to New York City brought us to our wedding on August 11, 2018. We were married on a 100-year-old farm in northern Wisconsin surrounded by our family and friends. 

After a few years of living in New York, we returned to our roots in the Midwest and bought a house in Saint Paul, Minnesota. While we loved our time in New York, we missed our families and wanted a simpler lifestyle. At the end of the day, we’re just two midwestern guys that love to eat good food, drink good drink and spend as much time as possible outdoors.  

Most weekends you can find us at cabin, discovering a new brewery, working in the garden, training for a race, or planning our next trip. While we love to travel the world and discover new places together, our favorite weekends are the ones spent boating and cutting firewood at the cabin with Shane’s family, or tubing down the river and heading to the rodeo with Taylor’s family. We also love scouring antique stores for the perfect pieces to fill our 1922 craftsman bungalow, which is a constant work in progress and one of our very favorite places in the world.

We hope to have you over to our place someday for dinner on the porch or a bonfire in the backyard!

Shane likes running. Taylor used to like being horizontal, but now likes running as well.
